Jean François Marmontel fue un escritor, dramaturgo y filósofo francés, autor de diversos artículos en L'Encyclopédie, seguidor de Voltaire en 1753 fue nombrado " Directeur et ordonnateur géneral des bâtiment du Roi " recibió la protección y el mecenazgo de Madame de Pompadour, en 1771 fue nombrado biógrafo de Francia.
Jean François Marmontel was a french writter, playwright and philosopher, author of several articles in " L'Encyclopedie ", folower of Voltaire, in 1753 was appointed " Directeur et ordonnateur géneral des bâtiment du Roi ", received the protection and patronage of Madame de Pompadour, in 1771 he was appointed biographer of France.
