Charles Gustave Wrangel was a Swedish military man who participated actively in the thirty years'war, Count of Salmis, Freiberg of Lidenberg and Ludenhof, Governor General of Pomerania, Rector of The University of Greifswald, Condestable of the Kingdom and member of the Council of Regency, was the driving force behing The Societas Fructifera, died on the island of Rugen on July 5, 1676.
